I have soooo many mixed feelings about this book. So let me just start from the beginning shall we.
I have been on a Laurann Dohner binge. I’m not even kidding you guys. I’m sure it’s not healthy to binge this many books by one author in such a short amount of time. I’ve just been reading one book after another so fast that I don’t even have time to write about how amazing they are. I just rush to get my hands on the next book in the series because I already know I’m going to love it.
What would you do if Earth didn’t have enough men?
Would you take a chance and leave the only world you knew behind?
This is the decision Faith Reid faces. Placing all her hope in a new government program, she seizes the opportunity that offers a chance for the women of Earth to find love among the stars, on a world beyond the one they know.
How many times can one man risk rejection?
Would you give up on your dreams?
Torkel Alonson has had enough of being ignored and looked over by females on his adopted home world of Enotia. His pride has suffered and he must accept the painful truth. Females will never choose a male with his evil lineage despite his honorable service to his government’s military.
Can two people looking for the same thing find not just what they want but what they need in one another?
Honestly disappointed in this book. When it started out I was really excited. I loved the premise that there was a surplus of women on Earth due to a illness that targeted men. I thought that was so unique especially since usually books like these are about alien planets that have more males than females. The character intrigued me at first I thought she was cool and didn’t have any major problems with her. That is until her betrayal. I’m not going to go too much into it since I don’t want to ruin it for anyone who is hoping to read this story but I just can’t get over it. Continue reading
I can’t be the only one that recently saw Fifty Shades Darker and craved a book similar to it. I haven’t read a BDSM book in forever. If you’ve been following my posts you’ll know that I’ve lately been obsessed with aliens and any story that relates to space and other worlds. Even amidst my current obsession, once I saw the new 50 Shades movie I had to pick up a similar book and dive back into this world. Continue reading
I have to admit, I’m kind of disappointed in myself. I really wanted to blog multiple times a week, whether I’m blogging about a book I’m reading or something totally not book related. It was definitely easier to blog and read frequently when I wasn’t in school and did nothing with my day. I’m currently back in school now, this is my third week, and I think I’ve barely finished 2 books in the duration. TWO BOOKS! It’s not like I don’t have a lot of free time because I feel like I do, I just don’t know. When I’m in school it’s like my adoration for books slightly diminishes and my love for Netflix increases tenfold. To top it all off, I’m really not going to have time to blog since I’ll be starting a new job! I applied to nanny this 5 year old 3 hours a day 5 times a week. While it’s not a lot of time each time I’m starting to worry now that I won’t be able to handle schoolwork and a job. I know a lot of students do it but it is definitely worrisome. Anyways, back to the point of this post! While I’m continuously busy, my TBR shelf has been filling up. Here are some on the top of my shelf. (Not in any order and summaries are from Goodreads) Continue reading
