3013: Mated (3013 #1) by Laurie Roma

Alexis Donovan is a woman whose dream of falling in love with the perfect men has been dashed because of her infertile status. Still recovering from a war that almost destroyed the world, humans have fought to rebuild and have once again opened their shields to outside visitors. As a liaison officer for alien races that are visiting Earth, Alexis does her best to ignore what she can never have, but when she is put in charge of four visiting alien warriors, her entire world changes…

Dragons Warriors from Arcadia, Xavier and Galan Tesera and their best friends Thorn and Brydan Volis, have been curious about Earth ever since they helped the humans defeat their enemy years ago. As commanders of their own space vessel they travel the galaxies searching out the unknown, but in their hearts they know they will never truly be satisfied without a mate by their side.

When the four Dragon Warriors land on Earth they are instantly enamored with the sharp-tongued liaison who ignites a burning passion in their hearts, and know that she is the mate they have been searching for who will complete their souls. Will Alexis take a chance on four alien warriors or will the fear of leaving everything she has ever known destroy her chance of finding true love?

Someone please tell me why I thought this book was going to be more than just sex?!? I mean okay it should’ve been obvious because it’s legit one woman and four men but still I held out hope!! Continue reading

Stressed Is An Understatement

For any of you that have followed me for awhile know that I’m a college student. I’m currently a week away from finals and then I’m FREE. I’ve never been so excited for summer in my life you guys!

I think because my classes are a bit harder this semester (Genetics and Organic Chemistry and Organic Chemistry Lab) I’ve just been stressing so much over doing well in these courses.

I’ve gone to so many office hours in the last week or two that my professors and I have become best friends. It’s ridiculous lol. Each night I’ve put in about 5-7 hours of just studying Organic Chemistry (I have a test tomorrow). I have yet to even begin studying for my Genetics final which is going to be so hard just thinking about it is making my head hurt.

The only reason I’m making this post is because, well, it seemed like an efficient way to procrastinate right now. I’m trying not to start another book because I’ll just be reading for hours on end instead of studying ):

Also, I’m making this post to let you guys know that once I start my summer break you’ll be seeing more posts from me! They will hopefully be more frequent which I’m excited about. It’s just too much to try and keep up with regular posts while also doing school. I know some that do it and excel at it but I’m just horrible at prioritizing and multitasking.

Thought I’d give you guys a little update on my hectic life. I have to go back to studying now so wish me luck! I’m so close to finishing this semester I can taste it!!

6 Books I’ve Been Meaning To Read But Have No Time To Do So

I have to admit, I’m kind of disappointed in myself. I really wanted to blog multiple times a week, whether I’m blogging about a book I’m reading or something totally not book related. It was definitely easier to blog and read frequently when I wasn’t in school and did nothing with my day. I’m currently back in school now, this is my third week, and I think I’ve barely finished 2 books in the duration. TWO BOOKS! It’s not like I don’t have a lot of free time because I feel like I do, I just don’t know. When I’m in school it’s like my adoration for books slightly diminishes and my love for Netflix increases tenfold. To top it all off, I’m really not going to have time to blog since I’ll be starting a new job! I applied to nanny this 5 year old 3 hours a day 5 times a week. While it’s not a lot of time each time I’m starting to worry now that I won’t be able to handle schoolwork and a job. I know a lot of students do it but it is definitely worrisome. Anyways, back to the point of this post! While I’m continuously busy, my TBR shelf has been filling up. Here are some on the top of my shelf. (Not in any order and summaries are from Goodreads) Continue reading

DNF at 61%: The Naphil’s Kiss by Simone Beaudelaire

Nephilim • Succubus • Forbidden Love • War Between Good & Evil

I’m really disappointed in this book. It had great ratings on Goodreads and everyone seemed to fall in love. I saw a lot of reviews stating that they love this authors writing and I’m kind of scratching my head wondering if we read the same book. It’s so frustrating when everyone is obsessed with a book and you’re just sitting there like vqmm_f-maxage-0 Continue reading

Merry Christmas!

Happy Holidays everyone! I hope everyone had an amazing day today. My family and I decided to switch things up a bit this Christmas. Instead of staying home like usual, we went to Universal Studios. We didn’t think it would be that busy since it was Christmas and people usually spend that at home with family. BOY WERE WE WRONG! This place was packed and our hotel was fully booked from Saturday until tomorrow. Continue reading

Burning Up Flint (Cyborg Seduction #1) by Laurann Dohner

Cyborgs • Romance • Space Travel • Abduction

I’ve seen this series everywhere. Every time I look up a list on sci-fi romance or aliens or anything like that this whole series is on it. Not just one book, but the whole series. I put off reading this series because I didn’t know if I was going to be into cyborgs. Also, I didn’t realize the were also human? I don’t know, I just presumed they were all machines, so my bad!
