Assuring herself that her teenage attraction to Flynn wouldn’t hold up when she met him in person, Tessa took the job.

Flynn has no intention of giving up, and he intends to prove to her that they are meant to be together.

Can Flynn convince Tessa that their attraction to each other is the real thing?

Overall Thoughts:

I had a love hate relationship with this book but overall it was cute and I needed to read a lovey dovey romance!

Concerns:

The reason I say I have a love hate relationship with this book was because of how unrealistic this kind of romance was. I really wish it was true but the whole on fire chemistry at first sight thing doesn’t really happen so as much as I love stories like these because I swoon it also makes me sad because it’s just not realistic.

Another thing I disliked was the dialogue during the sexy scenes. The things they would say sounded a lot like a cheesy porn film to be honest and a few times I just wanted to roll my eyes.

Praise:

I also love these swoon worthy romances because they’re so cute and just make you crraaave a man like Flynn and a relationship like this!

The characters were super cute in this book and were all kinda too perfect but I still liked them.

If you are looking for a quick romantic book with hot rock stars then you might like this one (:

Favorite Quotes:

“I returned her smile with what I hoped wasn’t a totally inappropriate ‘I want to superglue you to my cock for six to twelve lifetimes’ look.”

The Story of Us (Carnage book 1) by Lesley Jones

I love him, from the instant I set eyes on him when I was just 11 years old I have loved him and nothing will ever change that, he owns me, he owns my heart and he owns my body and no matter how many lies are told, no matter how many people conspire to keep us apart, despite the fame and the distance, we will find a way.

“Georgia Rae, when we made love you used to cry” … He waits for me to sing my bit. I try to swallow down a sob but I just end up singing through it…
“I said I love you like the stars above, I’ll love you till I die”

Carnage is an edgy coming of age love story that breaks all the rules and transcends the decades. Georgia and Sean’s story will stay with you long after you read the final word.
An emotional, smoking hot, gut wrenching read.

Overall Thoughts:

WHAT DID I JUST READ!? I’M AN EMOTIONAL WRECK RIGHT NOW THIS BOOK WAS SO UNPERFECTLY PERFECT! (unperfectly isn’t a word but just roll with it because it works for me right now). GO PICK UP THIS BOOK NOW!

Concerns:

If you read this book then you know what my concern for this book is. I don’t even need to hint at it because trust me you know. I know you know.

Praise:

I loved everyone and everything in this book, well except for one thing but I’m not going to mention that for it will SPOIL EVERYTHING.

Sean and Georgia are perfect for each other. This is the kind of love that people dream about having and that most people will never have. They make your heart flutter all while making you laugh at some of the things that fly out of their mouths. I love how this is a love at first sight book but it was different that the usual love at first sight stories I’ve read before and thats because they met each other when they were both very young.

Georgia was just 11 when she was first introduced to Sean and immediately she knew he was the one and because she was so young when she met him it was all just so cute.

I loved how this book told their story chronologically and didn’t go back and forth through time. It started when she was 11 then worked it’s way through their lives and their love for each other (and all the twists and turns). It’s so beautiful!!

I highly recommend this book! It’s so raw and beautiful and it will take you on an emotional rollercoaster. I currently I have a headache from crying and then trying to hold back my tears.

Who I Imagined:

This picture fits perfectly especially because they mentioned how they took a sexy photoshoot!

Favorite Quotes:

Overall Thoughts:

This book was great! It made you just want to jump in the book and shake people all while sitting by and anxiously wait to see what would happen. I love page turners like this one!

Concerns:

I’m a bit sad because I didn’t laugh as much as I did in the first book. The first book in this series had me dying laughing. Pretty sure my family had thought I was crazy because I was staring at my phone and laughing out loud and smiling like an idiot to myself, but in this book I didn’t laugh as much. I’m pretty sure that was my only concern with this book. I thought because in the first book Dee was the one that made me laugh hysterically that the book thats based on her would be a crack up and I was let down a little bit.

Praise:

I loved how this book was different that than “good girl tames rock star” or even “opposites attract”. Dee had met her match in this novel and it was amaaaazing. Dee was used to guys falling in love with her and worshipping the ground she walks on but not Joel. Joel was used to girls all over him and never chased after girls. They were so perfect for each other I love love loved it!

Also, I’m obsessed with Dee. I love her because she’s confident, does what she wants when she wants and couldn’t care less about what people think or say to her. She’s so strong and I wish to be like that someday.

Favorite Quotes:
“Dee!” he shouts. “The guy who snuck in your room last night is here!”

“Mark, right. You know he wasn’t an actual fireman right?”
Now it’s my turn to raise my eyebrow. Leti’s smirk sinks even deeper.
“I just nicknamed him that.”
“Why?” Rowan asks, and a mischievous spark glints in Leti’s eye.
“Because he put out a fire in your pants?” I ask, and Leti grins while shaking his head.
“Because he had a really big hose.”

Who did you guys imagine as Dee and Joel?

Mayhem (Mayhem book 1) by Jamie Shaw

When college freshman Rowan Michaels meets gorgeous, up-and-coming rock star Adam Everest, she knows a player like him is the last thing she needs after her ex-boyfriend shattered her heart. But she can’t stop thinking about the kiss they shared on his tour bus.

On the first day of school, Rowan is stunned when Adam saunters into her French class. He’s soon failing miserably, and, on a whim, she offers to tutor him. But Adam doesn’t recognize her as a makeup-free, glasses-clad college student—a far cry from the beautiful, mysterious “Peach” he met at his concert.

During a wild weekend on tour with the band, Rowan can’t help falling for the sweet guy buried beneath Adam’s rocker persona. Yet she knows she could never compete with the girls constantly throwing themselves at his feet. She’d just end up hurt … again.

Peach is all Adam thinks about, though, and when Rowan realizes this, she has a decision to make: stay just friends to protect her fragile heart … or reveal the truth about the night they met and admit she’s fallen completely, hopelessly in love with him.

Overall Thoughts:

I stayed up until 3am to finish this book and obviously someone was watching over me because I finished this book not even a minute before my phone died! THANK YOU JESUS! I’m obsessed and I wish I could erase the book from my memory so I could reread the entire thing again without knowing anything…it’s that good!

Concerns:

I was at first hesitant to read this book because when I was reading some reviews on this novel the first review I stumbled upon was very negative. They hated the book and said they couldn’t even get through 30% of the book it was that bad so I was like shit hopefully I’m not wasting my time. BUT I DIDN’T WASTE MY TIME BECAUSE MAYHEM WAS AMAZING!
Also, can we all agree that Adam is a bit dumb because he didn’t recognize his Peach only because she was wearing regular clothes, not night club clothes, and had her hair up with glasses. It reminded me of Clark Kent and how no one knew he was superman because he wore glasses. It’s like NO JUST OPEN YOUR EYES! But I will let it pass because I love him.

Praise:

I loved every single character in this book. Not just loved but I’m pretty sure I’m in love…it’s that bad. Out of everyone Dee has to be my favorite character. She had me almost in tears! Some of the stuff that woman said, holy crap, I just couldn’t deal. I absolutely loved her and cannot wait to read her story in the next novel.

Instantly I fell in love with Adam. He’s such an amazing guy, sure he’s a huge flirt and loves attention from ladies but even with all of that I was still in love and basically just wanted him all to myself…no big deal. Peach, also known as Rowan, was great as well. The relationship she had with all of the guys were so cute and she just fit in so perfectly. She had the kind of personality that you just want to get to know and be friends with.

I highly suggest you read this book! I’m so happy I didn’t get scared off by that one reviewer because it’s honestly a hilarious book with amazing characters and a cute love story that just makes you go “Awwwww!”

Who I Imagined:
Okay maybe not her exactly, but someone who is gorgeous, wears glasses and has an amazing bod and this girl obviously fits that bill!

But minus the tattoos because I can only remember one tattoo they mentioned and it was definitely an interesting one.

Favorite Quotes:
Not exactly sure how to format this quote because it’s a text Dee sent to Brady that Rowan is reading off in her head. Hope that makes sense lol

“You know what you did. We know what you did. Fess up and maybe she’ll consider talking to you again.
Okay, that’s not so bad. I feel relieved but then I watch as she hits RETURN a few times and quickly adds: lol, that last part was a lie. EAT DICK, DOUCHEBAG.”

“Can I still call myself a virgin after that wink? Dear God…”

“Boys like that don’t have girl friends, Ro. I mean, Jesus, how can you stand it?! I got a hot flash just from looking at that picture you sent me! Just ask Macy! I had to lie down!”
-Dee

***

“She’s dressed in a short skirt and super high heels, and I kind of hope she trips and skins her knees so badly she has to have her legs amputated.
Okay, no… that’s a lie.
I really hope that happens.
Please fall, please fall, please fall.”
-Rowan’s POV

Deep (Stage Dive book 4) by Kylie Scott

Positive. With two little lines on a pregnancy test, everything in Lizzy Rollins’ ordinary life is about to change forever. And all because of one big mistake in Vegas with Ben Nicholson, the irresistibly sexy bass player for Stage Dive. So what if Ben’s the only man she’s ever met who can make her feel completely safe, cherished, and out of control with desire at the same time? Lizzy knows the gorgeous rock star isn’t looking for anything more permanent than a good time, no matter how much she wishes differently.

Ben knows Lizzy is off limits. Completely and utterly. She’s his best friend’s little sister now, and no matter how hot the chemistry is between them, no matter how sweet and sexy she is, he’s not going to go there. But when Ben is forced to keep the one girl he’s always had a weakness for out of trouble in Sin City, he quickly learns that what happens in Vegas, doesn’t always stay there. Now he and Lizzie are connected in the deepest way possible… but will it lead to a connection of the heart?

Overall Thoughts:
Yes! Yes! Yes! YES! Kylie Scott read my mind and created this book especially for me, I’ve decided! The entire series I had this one plot in my head of how I wanted everything to go down and KYLIE SCOTT PULLED THROUGH PEOPLE! I literally was jumping up and down when I read the first couple of pages. I honestly couldn’t contain my happiness.

Concerns:
I had some concerns with this book that stressed me out. I’m serious about the stressing out part. I would have to take a few breathers and believe that in the end it’d all work out but Ben was just super frustrating! It was hard to trust him throughout the novel, which Kylie Scott purposely made so to make the story realistic and more emotional which is great but in the end I didn’t root for him 100% like I did for the other guys.

Praise:
Like I rambled in the first section I was so happy with the storyline! I knew this was going to happen and I’m so happy it did. I also had a love/hate relationship with how the beginning of the novel started off. It served it’s purpose and honestly was the best approach but Kylie Scott just gave us this big surprise and once all hell broke loose she did the “Four Months Earlier” and that’s when I internally screamed “Nooooooo!” But like I said before I held on because I had faith that Kylie Scott would pull through and make this an amazing story and she did! She gave you people to love, people to hate, stress that I’m sure will make me break out soon and laughter. I’m honestly so sad that this series has come to an end, I wouldn’t mind if Kylie Scott threw in some more band members to keep the series going! I really wish I could join Stage Dive’s family because the men and women in this series have been amazing and I’m so glad I enjoyed these books so much!

Who I Imagined:
I feel like everyone imagined different men for Ben than me but whenever I hear beard and men built like a mountain I will forever think of my love, Joe Manganiello.

And then I imagine Lizzy to look like the beautiful Lindsay Ellingson

Overall Thoughts:

Kylie Scott made me fall in love with her! I was already obsessed when I read the first two books in this series but I’m pretty sure this novel made me addicted. I can’t get enough! Kylie switched it up on this novel and made Lead have a realistic feel to it and took you on a ride full of love, humor, frustration and heartache.

Concerns:
I didn’t really have any concerns with this book because the things that made me frustrated and made me think “WHY WHY WHY WOULD YOU DO  THIS!?” I still loved.

Praise:

This book had me guessing the entire time on what would happen. I appreciated that Kylie Scott didn’t make these two characters fall in love with each other right off the bat like she did in the other two books in the series. It made this love more realistic and I appreciated a different love story other than the “love at first sight”. It was a great mix up for the series so not every book would be the same. It just makes you all the more anxious to read her next book to see what new love story she will throw at you because not one love story in this series is the same!

At first Jimmy can not stand Lena and it threw me for a loop because if you read the first two novels in this series the men instantly fall in love with the girl and it’s usually the man slowly convincing the woman to take a chance on them. BUT NOT WITH THIS ONE FOLKS! Kylie Scott mixed it up and gave us something new to delve into with this one. I honestly didn’t think the two of them were gonna fall in love. This one had me guessing, I thought well maybe Lena will fall in love with someone else and it’s going to be a story about her and some other guy? I don’t know I just know that this story brought a more realistic feel because you’re so unsure of how the outcome will be, just like in real life.

I love how Jimmy is an asshole. I know I know, that’s horrible because I’m suppose to be on Lena’s side and hate Jimmy for it but I can’t! I love it because it goes along with the realistic feel of the story. He had emotion and was moody and it was great! I love how well Kylie Scott constructs her characters and how you can really see the progression of character development in her stories.

Who I Imagined:
I took these images from Kris and Vik Book Therapy Cafe’s review on Goodreads because they are literally so perfect. I’m not sure who the people are on these pictures but they perfectly portray Lena and Jimmy. Especially since most people portrayed Lena as super skinny or fit and if you read the descriptions she makes about herself you know that that’s not true.

Favorite Quotes:

“I think I’m going to start charging you extra for lies. Someone needs to pay for the stain on my soul.”

“If she means something to you, you gotta do the woo, son. You can’t just be trying to stick it in.”
